I did the clear knob thing a long time ago and i found it looked too outa place. Just dident look right. Probly look a whole lot better with a white hvac panel though.
If you look at the pics on my site there, you can see I didn't fully peel mine off. The base is still black rubber with only the part you grab clear. Matches up nicely.
