I have a question. My coolant light came on so i filled it to the where it says to fill and the light is still on. there like a senor somewhere i am post to change out? and where is the located on a 97 sunfire gt
Right on the bottom of the tank you just filled, towards the front drivers side.

i found it crap how do i replace it? I did unpulg it and it thelight turned off.
On the j-bodies, you have to buy a new coolant overflow, as the sensor is part of the tank assembly and is molded in. Most of the failures I have seen were from crossing the dexcool with other coolant which will gum up the sensor since it is a ball and reed style sensor. Oreilly's carries them though, I think like 40 bucks.
would i have to order one from them a new coolant tank?
Ya make sure you get the year right as I think there are 2 different tanks, can't remember the difference though...... outlets, or something?
if only they had pictures of there products on there website be alot easyer. Do I have to have that plugged in or can I leave it out intill i get the new part?
