As I recently found out the 4t40e I had from the Malibu isnt going to work in my swap so I'm looking to purchase one ASAP. Got the motor put back together today and ready to be dropped back in, I just need a trans to attach it to now. Its a 96 Z, 2.4.
funny i had the same problem, i bought a tranny from a cavalier and put it im my grand am and my car shifted like crap and also it wouldnt shift at WOT, how soon do you need one?
Hoping by next week, the car is scheduled to go in for paint on the 24th and I wanted to have the motor/trans dropped back in at the least so we arent leaning over nice new paint on the fenders. The GM dealership here in town told me it would bolt right up. I'm not going to risk putting it in, then having problems.
