after re-reading all teh way through, i realized it was hard to get prices for this stuff at a glance, so after each description, before the pictures, ill post the price again. and please excuse my horrid sence of humor. i know im not funny. deal with it.
FS: Ecotec Automatic transmission. 73,000 miles on it (i was told, came with the engine i bought so i cant prove it). i really want this mother gone out of the garage, so $125 bucks takes it. will consider shipping, and maybe even a short drive for it (30-40 minutes). came from an 03 sumfire. will include one CV housing or whatever its called that the CV joint goes into with the boot cut (not sure if anyone wants it......) i dunno much about transmssions, but i do think autoboxes have a fluid pan. maybe not. if so, however, im not sure if this has one. the bottom is completly flat, and im not sure if the pictures really show it too good. ill know when i get around to posting the pics. comes with a Torque converter too. can be seen in the picture. only list price i found for this was the one online used at $37.50. throwing it in there for free. Transmission prices in my area (called around to the nearest 5 yards stocking one) average out to $334.70. so its kinda like getting 200 bucks off! and while i cant provide any numbers, im willing tobet its still cheaper to shipit than buy one at a yard. maybe im wrong. hell if i know lol
heres on picture of it -- $125 or best REASONABLE offer
honestly, i really just dont want it. i've seen em go for $400-$450, so i think its kinda a good deal. and its not a rip off, either, i swear. i was promised it worked. and if it doesnt, ill pay you back in full and get hold of the guy who sold me it. i might sound like i got a lemo, but this is just me trying to say, i have not personally seen this go. never. i mean, it came from 200 miles away, and supposedlly this guy got it from around 400 miles in the same direction so its from roughly 600 miles away from me. i was told it runs. im a very trusting person, so i took his word on it. i have no reason to believe it doesnt run, though unfortunaltally i cannot test it. im willing to not spend your money for 3 weeks (21 days) to give you time to install it and assure its quality. if you find anything wrong, ill give you back your money and pay to have the trans put back in my garage. or perhaps if you wanted we could work out an agreement to where you could keep the transmssion to be repaired or something and only get some money back. something, idk, we can deal with taht when the time comes. just know im willing to back my sales 100% full all the way yada yada yada. honestly, i just need a small bit of cash to make my car move, have no need for this whatsoever, so just take it off my hands. PLEASE. yes, i really am almost that desperate enough to beg lol. i dont get much garage floor space so every little bit counts lol. shoot, you could buy it and re-sell it for double! i dont care, just get the damn thing off my floor lol
also have the factory exhaust manifold and heat sheild. same as above, no need for the thing, so im willing to let it go dirt cheap. In my area, the junkyards got em listed at around $45. you can have it for $20, with the heat sheild. only picture i have is with the same header thats for sale. it can also be seen in the background of some of the other pics. i can get better pics upon request. senson not included. -- $20 obo
2.4 header. no brand on it. in fact, no writing on it at all.... strange. it came on the car when i got it. its dirty, but i suppose i can clean it for you, should you so choose. should clean up just grand. wont come with the bolts for either end (oh shame...). only damage is from when i cut the bottom bolts off by the downpipe, my grinder was at a strange angle and made 2-3 small divits in the flange. nothing that effects function or performance. really just cosmetic. but its so far down, youll never see it after its installed. ill try to show it in the pic, but it was so small my P.O.S. camera wouldnt focus on it. take it for $25 plus shipping. not name brand, and i know it has at least 12,000 + miles on it cause i put 12k on the car and the guy at the dealer drove it most days before me and said it was on there when he got the car at an auction or something. (i dont really know the history of the car, nor have i ever done the whole "carfax" thing lol) so its got some miles on it. its had its fair share of burnt gas run through it. no lie. but its still in great shape with some dirt and a distinct lack of rust, and does the job just friggin peachy. its honestly the only thing i gt for sale up in here that i think both you, buyer and me, seller are both going to come out ok on in the end. -- $25 plus shipping
2.4 Harness and manual ECU. unhacked into i think. as far as i know, anyways. there might be one or two extra things on there for the lame ass security system i had lol. i guess i dont have much to say for this either. i mean, theres only so much you can say about a gob of wires and a little electric box doohickey lol. its from a 2000 z24 (notice a trend in the source of the parts? lol) in a car that the odometer read 112,000 on it. although im almost positive its wrong. im mostly sure of the fact that its closer to 93,000 - 97,000. anyways, being that its 2 parts together in good condition, im going to put it at $60 for both and $35 each. harness is at about a hundred at local yards, and the ecu runs around 45-50. yes thats right folks, a bargin bundle! come on down!!!!! lol
i may be able to salvage this clutch when i sell the motor. it has exacly 4413 miles on it. i was going to do an experiment to see how long a factory clutch lasts, however, im not sure its stock lol. although like it says below, the tranny went and prompted the ECOtec swap, so the test was never finished lol. im not sure if a clutch can be reused, as most yards dont carry them, and its near impossible to find a used clutch online since everyone just gets them new. i resorted to a website for a guestimation on a cost and jsut lowballed myself on the price. $40 bucks can have the pair. if theres no interest its leaving via the local waste managment setup or a donation to the "things to put in the microwave" pile. i have no reason to hold onto it, so.......... but it. make me an offer.
When/If the engine sells, im going to see if the buyer wants to retain the old coil pack and cover off of his wrecked engine he's replacing. if he keeps his, this is for sale. yup, red cover in high heat paint, and all the goods underneath. i can most def get a better pic upon request. its just that its really late at night, the doors creek. cant wake the other people living here, and this is the best picture i got. so if theres even a remote bit of interest, ill snap some more pictures. $15
Windsheild washer resivour (SP?) thing - shipping plus $5. i dont want/need it. my car is track only, as of........ soon....ish. doesn't have air intake bong lookin thing lol. comes with the solenoid/pump thing (think it called the windshield fluid sprayer solenoid. whew, that names a mouthful lol) that plugs into the 2.4 harness.
horn lookin thing. came off an alarm system. wouldnt stop making noise due to a bad ground on the security system on the car so i cut the wires. technically, i drove around with the alarm on for about 5 months. but since it didnt effect the headlights or starting system or anything important, it was just the siren that made noise. the little light on the dash flashed too. what a worthless alarm setup lol. anyways, as far as i know, the speaker thing works. shipping + $5 obo i guess
this thing. not really much to say. off of a 2000 z24. does that help? not broken, and i think all the factory stickers are still there.... each one adds 5hp, so.... GiT sOmE uV dIs MaD PoWeR yO lol - shipping + $5 obo
damaged headliner. torn by the visors. i dont think it has any stains or other tears/rips/damage. from a 2 door, in case you couldnt tell. a 2000 z24 - shipping plus... $1? might need to be vaccuumed or something, idk. its been sitting on the roof of the car since around may sometime. if nobody takes it, its going in to garbage. i might even just give it away, i guess. hell, ill trade it for a mountain dew if someone comes and gets the SOB ahaha. a mountain dew code red or shipping plus $1
2.4 upper mount. out of, again, a 2000 z24. not much to say here.... i guess this works for teh Ecotec. at least thats what someone told me, and apparently their right. but what do i know lol. not an aftermarket mount, just a factory mount. dont know about local area prices as i forgot to call and ask. as i said above, a better picture is just a post and click away. im guessing around $30 at a yard, so if the guy doesnt take it with the engine, ill let it go for $15 obo
last thing for sale is a broken 2.4 tc LD9 getrag five speed tranny. something INSIDE the transmission broke. i have neither the tools nor the skills with transmissions to fix it or even corectly diagnose the problem. a friend says it might be the pin that holds the linkages together inside the transmission or something? idk, ill try my best to describe it....... i was driving, and was in first at about 3000-4000 rpms. went from first to second now FAST but quicker than a normal shift. no grinding or anything (that i could hear) but i let the clutch up and pushed the gas in a bit. just revs, no power. it was like it was stuck in neutral, or the clutch was stuch down. but i know it wasnt a clutch issu becasue the gear selector would move in a complete circle, unrestricted. at first there was a few slightly "bumpy" spots near the top of 1, 3, and 5, but the more i played with it, the less they were, untill they eventually went away (sounds like a way to describe something to a doctor... "doc, take a look at my foot..." lol) the transmission is out of the car, and i have a new, good working trans, i realized that the the old transmission linkage moves freely, where as the new one clicks from gear to gear. i can try my best to answer any questions about this, but im not very good with trannys yet. if nobody buys this, im going to buy a book all about how transmssions work and tear it apart to learn something. maybe even fix it and make me some cash for ecotec parts lol.
btw, im willing to consider trades for any aftermarket Ecotec stuff for these parts i have, along with consideration for stock parts. and these prices are already really low, IMO, so please dont lowball me with offers. i already feel like im ripping myself off selling this stuff so cheap, but i want my garage space back (i only get about 1 stalls worth or space) and i dont really need alot to get my car running, which is my main concern right now. All i need is some form of intake header (NOT running a stock peice, im not going to go through the work of changing it when its SOOO much cheaper/simpleer just to do it now), Clutch/flywheel combo, tranny mounts. and i might need axles, depending on if i think the old ones will suffice. may also need a radiator. would like to switch to a one peice aftermarket unit. also going to need the radiator hoses for the ecotec. all of them. clear would be nice, cause clear hoses = teh sex. but at this point, i dont care, i just want the car to run. if you have ANY of this stuff, let me know. Im willing to trade this tranny or other parts of any of those straight up. cept the mounts, they to little/cheap lol. And even if you dont want to trade, Selling this will net me some cash, so i might be able to buy them off you.
Also, it may seem as if i said way to much for most of these things, but so commonly i read posts with really obvious things being asked because the original information wasnt enough, so i tried to cover every base here. im more than willing to answer questions about this stuff, no problem. i just dont want someone to ask something i should have posted in the first place, so i said as much as i could to prevent myself from feeling stupid when someone asks something along the lines of "is the transmission automatic or manual" DOH. so yes, it seems excessive, but im guessing alot of what you wanted to know was said, no?

Get all the parts you need in a pile, and drive the car into it.
They will find their way into the correct places.
