I've got two. Both slightly damaged but can be easily repaired.

... i know GM says its OK to use a new head on a old block, but not a old head on a new block.... weard

i have a 96 head on my 00 2.4 block and have had no probs

i no i wasnt yelling at you, i was just saying that mine works
do you know why gm says not to, or any reasoning as to why they say that?

I'm going to guess, they fixed or just bettered the casting, help it not to crack\warp.

the reason is the different cooling passages...... from what I've heard. The older head/newer block would run ''hotter'' then it should.

wow thats impressive. I've done a head swap in beretta HO but theres alot more room than a jbay.

If you're doing a turbo build, I've got one that I started taking the hum between the exhaust valves out because of a deep gouge in one cylinder. will let it go cheap if your interested.
