yea so im lookin at buying a 00' s-10 xtreme, ive got quoted by 3 differn't places from 250-275$ a month for full coverage. (i have a loan on it) who do you reccomend or get cheap from?
Well, according to your profile, you were born in 1988. Expect to pay high prices. You are on the insurance companies list of high risk drivers. There's no way around that. As far as insurance companies go, I don't know a whole lot about them. I go through a local company here and have been extremely happy with them. The big names ones are hit and miss. I am good friends with a body shop owner here, and he said Progressive, American Family, and one other one (the name escapes me) are the absolute worst to deal with. Always trying to screw people over. Not that all insurance companies don't do the same thing, but not to that extent.

1999 Grand AM SE (Beater Car)
1997 GMC Sierra
2007 Honda CBR 600RR
2005 Honda TRX450R
exactly luke, yea its 1989, im 18 years of age, and it will effect my price, even though i have a clean record. my list as of now is state family insurance with 250$ a month..lol im lookin into other ones tommaro...hopefully cheaper..
you have a loan on it...
That is simply the answer right there ( or atleast here in WI) if you have a loan you have full coverage on it with most likly a 500 dollar diductable. Why, you had to barrow money from the bank to buy so they dont think you will have enough $$$$ to pay for damages if you get into an accedent.
Check with Drive from Progressive. Dropped my insurance quite a bit.
^^^ If I did that my insurance would skyrocket LOL
There's no way I'm turning in a prom chip with datalogging information over to my insurance company.
I have insurance through Progressive, and although I've heard some shady things about them if you ever get in an accident, their customer service is pretty good, and they are the cheapest I've found.
I pay $130 / month for full coveerage on my Sunfire, and $93 / year, for liability only on my motorcycle.
I'm turning 27 in 2 months and still have an at fault accident, careless driving, and a minor speeding ticket showing up on my insurance ( <--- all BS btw).
Just for a referance, If I had a "clean" record at muy age, full coverage on a S-10 like your talking about would run me in the range of 90 something dollars a month. Insurance is always high for people in or just out of high school, once your 30, you'll look back and understand why.
im paying like $60/month through Progressive. much better than what State Farm was charging.
i might check into progressive there is 2 other ones that i've got to call today, btw tony is that at the rents?
heh nice..i want insurance today but don't know how much they want down on a 250$ payment a month.. :\ +i work from 830 to 630 every day so freek idk?(i work fulltime mech at goodyear) =D
i'm high risk and i'm paying $185 a month for the cavalier (just liability at the moment) and the sunfire (full coverage; it's collateral on a loan). thats with multi vehicle discount and multi policy discount (car & renters). my insurance is through Acuity.

I think mines up to $152 a month for full coverage on the Tibby thru Acuity, I had my agent check other companies but Acuity was still the cheapest for me

thats what happened to me this last year. there was only one place chaper but they didn't offer renters insurance so in the end it was cheaper to stick with acuity and get the multipolicy discount.
