Eau Claire JBOers need your help
Saturday, June 30, 2007 6:37 PM
I am looking into getting a Sunfire SE Sedan that is for sale at Mark Quart Toyota in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. I am wondering if anyone lives in Eau Claire and if so, do you know anything about this dealership's reputation? Also, if someone lives nearby and would be willing to go take a look at the car just to check for obvious damage or other major issues (when they're closed of course) that would be great since it's a four+ hour drive for me. I want to cover all the bases before I go driving all the way up there for nothing. Thanks in advance.

I live in the Eau Claire area. Marquart is a very reputable dealer in town.
Are you still looking into this car? I can run by there for you.

Awesome! Good to hear they are a reputable dealer.

I am coming up to test drive it on Saturday morning. If by chance you could check it out before then that would be great! Thanks.

The car looks great.
I assume it's the 2002 Silver Sedan.
Didn't find any blemishes on it. From what I could see the interior looked great. Tires look almost brand new. They are Bridgestone Insignia's.
Muffler looked in good shape. I'm sure it's original, but it sounded solid.
About 47k miles I believe. 1 month 1000 mile warranty. (I assume you know all those specs and the price?)
Definately looks worth test driving.
Looking on Kelley Blue Book their price is right at what it's worth retail value.
(Marquart advertises the "no hassle price", so supposedly they don't negotiate. What they ask is what the price is.)

Thanks for checking it out for me! I actually went and test drove it yesterday afternoon. It is a great running, great looking car. I ended up buying it for the advertised $7490 which as you said is under the Kelley Blue Book estimated value. I will be returning to Markquart next Saturday morning to bring it home and start on my newest project . Thanks again .
