I was wondering whats all involved in doing a tranny swap from an auto to a mannuel? does anyone have info. on this? Whats all needed? (parts list) Any help or info. at all would be greatly appreciated. I have an 03 ls couldn't find any with a mannuel tranny when I bought this car otherwise I would have bought one with it. I plan on doing this in a few months and want to get much info. as possable.

tranny,tranny mounts,shifter,shifter linkages,pcm,gauge cluster,engune wiring harness,clutch pedal.im not 100% but i belive youll also need a new radator and cvds

thats sounds about right accept i don't think you need a dash cluster, and yes i think the manuals have a tranny cooler monted to the radiator

ill be doin the swap this summer when i go back to IL along with turbo since the car is already down due to my spun rod bearing

i think for the gauge cluster he was referring to if you have one that doesn't have a tach.

ok... well i have the same project sitting in my garage right now cuz i havent really been sure on whats involved in it... but anyway... can anyone tell me by chance if the mounts on a 95 to 99 2200 auto 4 speed tranny are different from the ones on the 5 speed tranny...

i guess basically what i 'm asking is if i'm gonna have to cut and weld a new mount or will the 5 speed tranny just drop right in?

yes they are different mounts like you said you will need to cut the old ones out and weld in man trans mounts

just got most of my stuff last weekend its sittin in the garage waitin for school to end and more money to come in to get the last few things needed
