cavalier or sunfire?
Sunday, February 12, 2006 6:30 PM
hey guys i need some advice, i know this is still up to me to deside but would like others opinions. I have a 99 2.2L auto, cavy with 105K miles on it and i want to do more to it but its not worth throing a new engine into it and a tranny. In my little town of water town there are cavaliers flying around like crazy there every were. On the other hand i think theres like one ot two 00+ sunfires running around unless there hiding from me.

So i want to retire my cavy for eather a 02 2.2L ecotec, 5 speed manuel 2dr cavalier, or a 03 sunfire (same stuff) Witch one would your guys get and name a part of it you like the most about that car, please. Thanks in advance for those who respond!

when you say watertown, do you mean Watertown, WI?

i'd go with the sunfire. i really like the looks of the 03+ fires. the only thing is there are less products out there for the fires compared to cavis. and finding an 02 ls sport is not an easy thing.

yes i do mean watertown WI its nearly impossibl to find one with all the stuff i want... i found a few with the engine (wasn't an ls sport tho) and the tranny but was a sedan, then i find alot of coupes with autos. lol i guess i cant really find a sunfire in a manual eather.

sorry about that thanks for catching that streetdream. Ok thanks guys for pointing me even farther to the fire. I lisit jeffereson and beaverdam both weekly, family lives around there. Now to actually tell the other people yet to read this and the people who have responed. I counted 27 cavaliers of all years, and okne funfire of a 02 or older on my way to work. Now if my job was like in another city ya thats normal some times ... I live about a mile away from ym job!! thats how populated the cavys are here.

Yeah...fire for sure. There are about 5 modded Cavs (lots of half arsed ones too) around Sheboygan, but only one other Sunfire than myself that's modded.

I like the cavalier better b/c of the headlights.. But all in all, I think they are both reliable and both look good if u put the time and money into them.

Wanna buy my car, so I can get my IS300? Otherwise I'm going to go out in this FAWKING REDICULOUS WEATHER driving around hoping someone hits me!!! Sorry, just got done shoveling..................

I think that the Sunfire looks awesome with the full Streetfire GT body kit. Both really have their own look and with the right mods both look nice. One thing that I like better about the sunfires is their interior. It doesn't look as cheap as the Cavalier's.

I do like the Cavalier style though too, otherwise I wouldn't have one.........

Be prepared to hear "its just a girls car" every week if you go with a sunfire.

Personally, I like the curves of the fire' better than the cav.
