wrong frequency range. This is a CDMA phone. Wont work for att or cingular. They use some TDMA and GSM networks but they have a funny birage of networks combined. They even have sim card technology. Will be really cool in a few years when they are done.
This does not have a sim card. Its activated off the ESN
are all sprint/t mobile phones that way cuz i used to go to school with someone who unlocked a sprint phone and was using it on their cingular network

I hightly don't think so ... bro ... I used to work for Sprint (CDMA) & Cingular (GSM) and as Kelly was saying ... it will not work ... You can however Unlock certain TDMA/GSM/GPRS phones to work other GSM Markets but not CDMA not that I have heard off.

The only ones that may be able to get flashed were the nokias. The only thing that makes the think so is because they came to Sprint setup with SIM chip holders in them already. Those could probably be changed which the term "unlocking" is always attached to sim chip phones. The other ones are as hector said as I know would be impossible if rare.
Hmm...I currently have Sprint and I love my Sanyo 8100. My 2 years is up in January and (if I stay with Sprint) I will be getting a new phone. How old is this one?
me personally i hate sprint i have it right now and the service sucks
I have had it since it came out. I used it about 3 months. Left the company and got a nextel which didnt work for me so I went back to sprint and got a new phone but I forgot I had this one in the drawer just sitting in the box. I would have still forgotten about it if a friend hadnt asked if anyone has an extra cingular phone so I looked and voila here is this one. NOT A SCRATCH ON THE THING.
4500/5400 has two skus, one for sanyo and one for sprint
yea, his was a nokia.
oh well, i'm using an unlocked phone right now anyways (it's a nokia too). so i guess i'll just stick with that one.
