My '84 Firenza hatchback has a power antenna that's stuck in the up position. My dad can fix it cause he's had the same problem with other GM power antennas (the cord inside breaks) anyhow, how do you get to it? I can't see it under the hood. with the passenger door open I can sorta see it up in the fenderwell. What's a person to do? Take off the fender!

Antenna
GM Cavalier/Sunbird/Skyhawk/Firenza 1982-1994
REPLACEMENT
Unscrew the antenna mast, nut and bezel from on top of the fender.
Lift the hood and disconnect the antenna cable from the bottom of the antenna base.
Remove the two antenna retaining screws from inside the fender.
Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Make sure all connections are tight.
