well saw this on the main page.. note most mods before they lock the post they have to throw in there 2 cents on it then lock it.. or if you disagree with them on a issue they still do the same thing get the last word in and then lock it. oh and ban you on top of it

no, people can speak their mind, if they really want to look retarded in doing so. it wasn't an issue of a moderator going on a power trip. so like i said, if you don't know what you are talking about, why not keep your mouth shut. it's really simple.
as for "putting their two cents in" before locking a post, most of the time it's to point out why the thread was locked. not to mention, most times moderators don't comment before locking a post.

Lurch and RatZero posted something in OT that when clicked logged members out of the forum, and someone was afraid that they were possibly trying to steal passwords that way. from what i understand, that wasn't the case, which is why the bans were lifted.
as far as "free _____" posts go, those got way out of hand a while back and it would be very nice not to have that start up again.
i dont think its a problem with the moderators having to grow up i think it has to do with the members growing up and just following the rules. if you break them there are consequences, it has nothing to do with the moderator being a dick they are doing their job.

Umm... you haven't looked at the Chi-town posts then... They just lock the post for god-knows-what-reason, w/o saying anything.
Here's your proof We were doing nothing wrong in there... yet, .... locked! That's like the 3rd or 4th one in a few months. I understand why the first one was locked, but the link there shouldn't have been locked. Up here ya'll have an OT thread that's dayum 42+ pages. One of our threads made it to 50, then locked. I just went WAY WAY WAY back, found our original Chi-town thread, locked on the 139th page w/ 3469 posts. That one was 'dirty' for a while, but then we cleaned up, and couple days after we cleaned up, mods locked it
i have no idea why the latest chicago land j body thread was locked...
