I'm planning on putting together an intake of my own. I was wondering if I have to run a vent line from the cam/valve cover to the intake(like how the factory has it) or would I be able to just put a breather over the vent?

you can run the line or put a breather on. Breather would be just fine.

i know the junkyard over herein chicago has a 00 cavalier with weaponR intake in it , they would charge you like 20bucks for it and on Wednesdays its half the price. just FYI
