FS: 2001 Yamaha Banshee. $3000OBO

I am looking to sell my unit obviously; asking $3000OBO. I am located in the Kansas City area.

Banshee is the usual highly modifed stock motor based alcohol/race gas drag setup if that makes sense. Bored, ported, welded and trued, aftermarket head, CPI drag pipes, Makuni flat slides (36mm?), +4 timing plate, etc. Trans and clutch were properly upgraded. Freshly rebuilt rear shock with 170# Eibach spring.

I have a 6" sectioned swingarm, and a stock swingarm. Stock chain, and extended "gold" race o-ringless chain. Full sets of dirt and sand tires; the paddles are near new shaved 9 paddle PadlaBrats, dune fronts are smooth. Can be converted to more tame fuels to suit many uses. Dynoed at 68whp on a 50/50 mix of 91 and 110 octane. I never checked the power after converting it; alcohol usually adds 10-15% more peak hp, and a LOT of power accross the board. Throttle response is instant, and when it comes up on the pipes you had better be ready for anything! It runs perfect, and I am a picky bastard.

Here are a couple pictures; let me know what you think about it please!
Any questions, comments, ideas, thoughts, etc are greatly appreciated.

Couple other things I thought I might mention: V-Force 2 reed setup, new solid front bushings, Moose shock covers. The powertrain was built by GT Performance in Dearborn, MO. I only ran it at Waynoka a handfull of times over a two or three year period, and had only a few small easy outings other than that. Only had it set up on alcohol the last time i was at the dunes.

I have the title, and original owners manual and tool kit if that means anything.

I don't know how this setup compares to what is out there anymore, but with me riding it (180lbs.) there are no issues pulling the wheels through 5th gear, and running mid 4's on a 300ft. sand track were cake, even with my inexperienced ass! That was with it tuned for the 50/50 110/ 91 octane mix. Alcohol made it a whole different animal of course!

Also has a GT Performance chrome-moly steering shaft.

Comments please; let me know what you all think, good or bad.

Thanks in advance.
