MY 96z finally broke more then i really want to replace. The Trans went, the dif specifically, the water pump is leaking, and i got some rusty brake lines that should be replaced. In all, i just don't want to replace the parts.
So here is what i have:
96 z24 (dark red i think it was called Cheyenne red or something, basicly maroon)
5 speed
181k on car engine runs great, trans, not so much.
?should be Forged internals: people can correct me if i am wrong, some or all of the 96 2.4s came with forged internals because they used the engine in Grand Ams that were used in grand am cup racing which required stock internal engines
Sun roof
Body is in decent shape, a bit of rust over the rear driver's side wheel well, and a some paint bubbles. Paint on front and rear bumpers is pealing
Aftermarket stuff:
Pace setter 4-1 header(1" primarys) with full exhaust. HF Cat, Flowmaset 40 muffler. All 2 1/4" Exhause has some leaks where my welds are not that great. Never bothered me for daily driving, just a bit loud.
CAI w/ k/n filter
Koni yellow suspension
Strut tower bars front and rear
Motor and trans mounts (insert in top motor mount)
have pioneer head unit and speakers, can go with the car or not
if i can think of other stuff to add i will. Let me know if anyone is interested in it.
I would like to sell it whole, but if it comes to it, i may part it out.
Also any serious offers are welcome as well. And i would prefer local pick-up or i may be able to deliver parts if i decide to part it out instead.
where are you located and how much and all the good stuff its exactley what im looking for i dont need the motor ar any of that stuff so if you wanted to sell with out it that would work but if not ill see if somone wants to go in on it
Not 100% possitive on price, gotta see what a junkie would pay for it and see.
As for location i'm in Marengo, IL it's a small town about 60 miles west of Chicago.

junk yards are paying next to nothing right now more or less $200 at best for a full car (iron dropped down so far places stopped buying it)

Yup just got off the phone with local yard. Not even worth it to me to sell to them.
Lots of decent stuff on the car still so i would want someone who can use it to get it instead.
Price i guess would be around $500, very negotiable, or i can part it out, and them figure a way to leave the scraps at the junk yard.
and as for taking some stuff off the car, i'm not really going to pull stuff off except maybe the radio if i sell the whole car. If i start to part it out...anything i can rip off myself goes, and i have a few sawzalls around ]:->
