Hey everyone, I've come to realize I am never going to be able to finish my car. I begin law school in the fall and will have zero time to work on the cav. Here are the basics, its is a 1997 Cavalier with a 2.2 coupled with a 3spd. It has 74,500 original miles on the engine, tranny, and body. It has a Celica rear end conversion that flows very nicely with the rest of the car. The body kit consists of Buddy Club II rear and sides with a Drift front. The doors have been shaved (spal) and lambo hingest have been added. It has HID headlights custom mounted in 2002 headlights. The HID's came from an Infiniti fx35. The engine has an intake and header, the rest is stock. The interior is completely redone with black and grey leather. The rear panel and door panels have been fiberglassed and recovered to match the seats. The stereo will just need a head unit. It has 4 61/2 Audiobahn 3 way speakers and 2 12 inch Audiobahn Subs with a 600 watt Hifoncs amp. Also has a set of white 18 inch wheels with toyo tires (plenty of tread). Also has tons of extra parts. Extra headlights, taillights, mufflers, carpet, matching leather, and then stock parts.
I know I am forgetting a ton. Please ask Questions. Email me at nicholas.vilmain@simpson.edu
Here is the cardomain page with tons of pics of the interior and some progress. nullhttp://www.cardomain.com/ride/618258null
I keep forgetting more details. It has red neons and LEDs in the inerior and 7 color LED underlights. It basically needs the body work finished, painted then the interior put in.
If you're willing to part with the HID Leadlights, I can trade stock and some $$$$. Let me know!
SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not interested in parting the car out as of now.
More about the car. It runs and drives just fine, if you are close enough you could easily drive it home. Also, the rear end conversion isn't made of fiberglass. I bought half of a Toyota Celica and used the quarter panel and tail light pockets.
nick i didn't even know you cav was still around, im from boone as well but sold my cav about a month ago like i said its been probably 4-5 yrs since ive seen your cav
Yea Its been either in Colorado or the shed now for quite some time.
I live in Ames and am kind of interested in this car, but the 2.2 and 3 speed sort of kicks it in the nuts for me. What is your schedule like for coming up to check it out sometime? I've sort of got a number in mind from looking at the pics, but we'll discuss that later. PM me or something when you get the chance.
Lots of interest but no solid offers yet. Come on guys!
Damn! Sucks you're not gonna finish it, looks like you were on your way to a one of a kind show car. Love the celica fender thing, that's neat as hell.
