oh, i thought it was just a lil 3" tall stubby deal like for satelite radio or something...

i already have a stock style shorty one i bought on ebay for $8 shipped and i love it. it looks just like the stocker but only about half the length.

so is there something in those that creates a better signal input or something?

Yea, the way the shaft itself is produced. They add minerals to the metal inside the rubber that gets better signal. If you ask me what it is, I couldnt tell you, I Cant even pronounce it.
