So, today i toke my car up to Pep Boys to get my car aligned and they told me they couldn't do it because i had 18inch aftermarket wheels on my car.. And the computer only registers to the car at a factory stand point.
So what i wanna know is where can i take my car to get aligned with a 2.5 inch drop and 18in wheels..
Here in Dixon they will do it regardless of whats done to the car. and its a really nice job too. for my car with the 17's and lowered as low as i am they were going to charge $90.

That's about what I payed to do the fronts (wasn't Pep Boys though)...and I have 18" rims.

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.
the size of the rim has nothing to do with aligning the car. My guess is they don't want to mess with your car because they don't want to risk scratching up aftermarket wheels.
Yeah pep boys said the there alignment is done by computer and it only reads the factory setting of the car. which includes the size of the wheels..
pep boys is full of @!#$
no matter what you do suspension wise the machines will always bring up factory specs, because thats what its surpossed to be adjusted to. Changing the size of the wheels has nothing to do with the alignment of the car. Weather or not the machine knows what size the factory wheels are changing the size of the rims has no effect on the alignment, and it doesn't know what size wheels are on the car, thus not making any difference what-so-ever. Pep boys is either full of @!#$ becasue they don't want to do it, or just plane to stupid to know what they are doing.
This is what I do for a living and I'm telling you, the size of the wheels doesn't affect the machine, the alignment, or anything else.
I figured that @!#$.. But i was like F**K it.. Go somewhere else... Yeah, what dealership u work for again?
damn.. I thought u worked at Audi...
