yup this was on the news a couple weeks ago..
Just another way to crack down on younger people with a stereo.. Still no laws on bikes with straight pipes and trucks with mufflers..
Oh and vettes dont get pulled over for no front plate but younger people that dont have them displayed get 75 dollar fines. Yay discrimination

yeah that started in july here in joliet...only they are pulling bikes over now...still not v8s though.
its been 2 years here in elgin so far it 75 feet and if they can hear it ti gets impounded

thats got to be the gheyest law ive ever heard of. you can hear some FACTORY stereos over 75 feet. i feel sorry for you boys over there.

yea that sounds pretty lame to me. id like to see them try to impound some of the cars that cruise around in milwaukee.. they would get shot by 5 different guys...

Don't worry guys, I don't think this law is giong to be inforced to much. Not much more than swithcing lanes without turn signal or going over the speed limit by 5mph. And most of the time you are gong to be around a couple of cars so it will be hard for them to distiguish which car the noise is coming from. Just turn it down when you are stopping. But thats just because I don't want people to know I have a system.
FYI.. Be on the look out for a mid 90s red Jeep. Has state plates and a spot light on the mirror. I dont know if its someone specifically for this sound bull@!#$ but he talked to me at a stop light on perryville and harrison told me to keep my stereo down and fix my exhaust.
BTW my stereo wasnt even loud enough to hear outside of the car standing next to it.
