I talked to the Guy selling it. He says its still running strong which makes me happy. I knew the beast wouldnt go down without a fight. Sounds like its in good shape still..
Well I Snapped my Torque Tube inside. Its the Drive shaft on Vettes. So Gm quoted me 1500.00 for a Remaned one. But I got a almost used new one with only 4600 miles on it from an 04. Which means its stronger than my 97 one. My car goes to Straight line Performance on the 16th to have it installed then. I paid $750.00 shipped to my door for then new Torque tube. and its going to be $400.00 to have it installed. So I should have it back on the road by the 18th or 19th of this month.. I cant wait. Cause I have so goodies I want to get on her. Muhahaha

400$ to install a drive shaft... Seems like you are paying to be shafted twice haha
What makes the labor charge 400$ are they a pita to put in?

Well see the thing about Corvettes from my year and up is. The Trans is mounted to the Rear end of the car. so you dont have a driveshaft so to say. Its like a tube with a driveshft inside it with special bearing and couplers. To install it you have to take the whole rear end off the car and drop the trans. Its really invloved...

.............kidding right fatalic... Ken's a nice guy hell I went to buy parts off him and he pulled my old header and attempted to fix it and then he reinstalled it for free......I didn't pay a dam cent. If he needed help i would give him a hand wrenchin if he needed it.
