well I am in Junction City, KS man I figure I haven't seen alot of posts from guys in KC but I would just hit the local hot spots for racing and you'd be able to find out some good stuff but yeah try out link thats one of many but yeah alot of people use them and if you're looking for projectors then projectors

On the contrary I would avoid the "local hot spots for racing" , unless you like being laughed at. There are some pretty serious cars down there.

As far as links for parts my advice would be to shop around!. Alot of places carry the same parts (Carcustoms, Turbotech etc.) but check all of them to find the best price!

Yeah, J-body activity is little to none right now, or "Leader" Skinny hit a rough spot in life to say the least. When we have meets we meet at either the Hooters on Metcalf or the one in Independence. As for specialty shops, your garage would be the best I live in St. Joe but head up there every once in a while, Keep your ears peeled, meets are coming up soon.

Hot racing spots SCCA, I'm not sure if the new calender is out but it's a blast.

Casey, Welcome!

As far as places to have things done in KC you're pretty much S.O.L. However you're in luck as the KC area has a secret underground society of J-body tuners, lol. Actually there are some very knowlegable people here in KC that will be able to assist you in pretty much anything you need, just ask. Come on out to the Heartland JBO's monthly meet and meet some of the guys alot of us have been doing this J-body thing for along time, myself for 8 years. If you're lucky Johny may bring out his beast, the 390hp+ dyno proven street driven cavy, a seriously sick J-body to say the least, and Dale should have his 13 second Sunfire there, (as long as the roads are dry). The winter months are fairly dead so there prob won't be many people at this months meet, however, anyone who shows will be able to give you alot of information, plus come spring/summer we will start having project days again. Anyhow hope to see ya at the next meet it ill be Jan 13 at 7:00 pm at the Independence Hooters, and if you're legal to drink, be prepared too...

Later,
Skinny J

He did move here?? Man I have been out of the loop for a long time. And Dale hasn't blown his fire up yet?

Z24HO: You may try to get in touch with Scoot Heflin or Twister, They head up the Springfield Mo. JBO guys, which might be closer for you... And you are always more then welcome to come on out to the KC meets, so whatever works best for you!

Man Mikey you have been out of the loop! Yes Johny did move out here and he's has been to a couple of the meets, and the last time he was out he did drive the beast! As far as Dale blowing the sunfire, yes and no it was out of commision for about a year and a half due to hitting the rev limiter while spraying a 100 shot, which ended up make the car knock horribly, however it turned out that it was the ecu that had somehow remaped itself? anyhow the car is now running fine again and should be buying it sometime this spring!

Casey: "Kc j-body boys and 12pk" Basically the Boys are some of us J-body old timers and the 12pk is what we drink. Snoop was referring to the project days which we will start havin when the weather gets nice and which basically includes some sort of install or rebuild drinking a good amount of beer and the going out for dinner and such... It's just a fun time to hang out with other enthusists and for some of us a good reason to drink! ;P
