so i've read that any trunk lid from 95-02 will fit my 02 z24 and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get one cheap in the central Illinois area.

thanks in advance

FYI, 03-05 will fit too, and you get the 4' wide reflector bar Which you then upgrade with the carbon fiber cover, haha.

Check JY's yet? They might have a couple...

so 95-05 will fit, looks like my odds for finding a black trunk lid at the junkyards next week probably aren't too shabby. anyone know of any junkyards around peoria, IL?

Good luck . . . When i was looking for a 95-02 trunk lid at junkyards around Illinois, they didn't have a black one, and they all wanted bout $200+ too. I ended up buying a new one off of Ebay for about $80.

I kid you not man. I called up about 8 junkyards. A couple in Blue Island, Summit, etc. I couldn't find a price under $200. There was a place in Blue Island called "ABC Auto", and they actually wanted $300 for one, and it wasn't even the color I needed. The prices were nuts . . .

you call for a price the price goes up. just go there and ask,,,, or go to a you pull it. I know for a fact they are cheaper because i bought one for 20. don't be gay, just buy a lid and shell out the money to have it painted.... don't try and take the easy way out.

I went to a junkyard off of archer and something. At that light there is like 2 junkyards right there and then one right before the bridge. I went to the one with a yellow tralior right in front of the place off of the street. As soon as i went there i took the lid off of a 4-door cav, walked out with a trunk lid for my 95 cav ( when i had it) for 65 bucks. It had a little lift spot on it but since i was shaving the trunk lid it wasn't hard to repair.

Ask Dragracemyz24, i sold my trunk lid to him and i think he is selling it or he might have already . . . .I dunno

Hey Trev, I know the junkyards you are talking about.

Maybe I should've actually gone to those places rather then call, lol.

go to the place on pulaski i think or kedzie adn like 147 i got my trunk lid there for 40 i think but if u go on mondays its hlaf price day and then i had to shell out the money to have it painted acuse ull never find a yellow trunk lid with no spoiler and no holes

The money won't be all that much if you have a shop do the work. If possible, try to get a spoiler will no spoiler holes though. When I wanted my 03 trunk fixed, it had small spoiler holes, and shops were telling me it was like $3/400 just to fix the holes and have it painted and everything. The holes is what kicked the price up to fix.

When I had my new trunk painted, it only cost me like $115 about? So it wasn't that bad.

Yes, i am still in high school. I get out in 1 week. But I brought it into the auto shop at school ( to use the tools and other free stuff) and some people worked on it for me (for free as well) with a little supervision from the teacher.

Ahh, kinda thought it was that one. Did Luke ever fix it up at all? I remember some shaved areas were dips (too far in) and others were bumps (too far out). If he's sellin' it cheap enough tho, I might take it for my Cav. Since mine will be a racecar it doesn't need to be perfect or anything

i am not sure if he did anything to it.. I got a new phone and lost his number then got his number a week or 2 ago. I call him and he never answers tho. Either i am really annoying or he is busy, since he does have a busy life.

Meh, I think I'm not gonna bother. My lid is a lil messed up so it wouldn't be worth trying to sell it as-is.
