I know i should be posting this in the audio forum. But for those of you who know me, know i am stupid at times. I am so cofused with the settings on the amp and then the settings on the radio for the sub. Should i not touch anything envolving the sub on the headunit? I have a Pioneer DEH-P7700MP head unit and a kenwwod 1000 watt amp. I have no idea what to set the LPF Freq. at or the infrasonic setting and the input sensitivity. I have 2 12inch infinity 1220 reference subs in a sealed box. Any help please

You can typically leave those settings alone
Amp
LPF = 40Hz-150Hz works for most people
Infrasonic = 10 or 20Hz (if I'm thinking of the correct thing, AKA SubSonic Filter)
Input Sensitivity = All the way down, then slowly up till you like how it sounds
Hope this helps
Here's my set-up and settings:
HU
Stock 2K CD Player
---Bass +2
Amp
Visonik something-or-other
---LPF = 40Hz - gives nice, deep, boomy bass w/o higher-freq sound
---Infrasonic - don't remember if it has one, if it does I have it off
---Input Sens = Around 15dB, and it has a remote too (country = remote at 50%, rap = remote at 75
---4 gauge power wires, 12 gauge speaker wires to subs, 18 gauge or some BS inside sub box (I need to replace it, if I don't sell the subs soon)
Speakers & Subs
Visonik something-or-other SUBS
---12" dual, sealed
Old JBL Pro 6x9's in rear, fronts not hooked up (I
still haven't extended the wiring for the lambo's lol)
This spring I'll finally start working on my new set-up

I usually just set everything on my headunit to 0...considering there is a spectrum thats like -6 to + 6 ...Then I go to an abandoned parking lot, pop in a cd with music you like craw into the back of my car and tweak and tune things till its just right. Remember you dont want it to boom as much as it possibly can because then when you use your headunit settings it will probably distort your subs...

Exactly that's what I do and that's what I did exactly what he said it's pretty much a givin just take your time and self tune it yourself start up one nodge at a time and when you think it's exactly how you want it to sound then just keep it.
