I don't know, the regional thread with wisconsin has an off topic thread thats been going on for a long time, thats still going so theres no reason ours should be deleted / locked

The one in the North-Central Region has been allowed to continue because it is typically used to arrange local meets, etc. However, they have already had problems with posts like that deleted/locked because they were using it to post-whore. The only place post-whoring is allowed is in AG. These types of threads can continue as long as they serve a purpose (planning for local events, etc.) that isn't post whoring.

Makes sense. I remeber the first Chicagoland thread Luke made, it got so big because most of the time, we would be talking about where to meet up. We would be talking about it every week because we would try to get together weekly. Then, it started to go more off topic.
