Looking into building a L61 for my 2004 chevy cavalier but dont know to much about these motors so far i been looking into
Forged egle rods
Forged crank
Forged wisco pistons
Stage 1 cam
Fmsr valve springs 75lbs
Ferrea intake and exhaust vavles 1mm over sized
Need advice on what else ill need. Thanks in advance
What is your goal for the engine?
Forged cranks are very hard to come by and Super tech makes better valves springs than FMSR. FMSR is semi local to me and have heard that they are quite shady.
There are quite a few more things but they depend on your goals.
My goal is just a have something fun to cruse around in the summer time and wanna give my car little more HP maybe around 250 HP range nothing to big course can never have to much HP
For 250whp you don't need to upgrade any internals.
Just thought I might go head in do it just case I want more down the road but haven't really made my mind up just checking prices rite now. And best place to get parts from?
I got my rods, pistons, and valves off ebay. My cams came from ZZP, but I am running a LSJ head. For most people rods and pistons are the most they need.
For 250whp range slap a M62 on it with cooling mods and pulley down and good tune and enjoy the car.

Oh yeah, cams are a waste of money on these motors unless you're doing something really radical.
(Yes, that was for you Kyle.)
