First off sorry if this is in the wrong forum but I have a 2004 cavalier ls sport and when I take off in 1st 2nd and sometimes 3rd gear it sputters really bad. Has anybody had a similar or same problem. There is no check engine light or anything. I replaced the coil pack and spark plugs but still Does it. Please help I need my car for school and work thanks to everybody in advance.

Have you tried cleaning the injectors and TB?
Give it a seafoam treatment and see what happens.
Also take out your plugs and look at them, replace if needed.

Might be your clutch going , you have a 5 speed?

Have you hooked it to a obd2 reader might have code but engine lights not working.

I agree with Michael, however I had a similar problem and it happened to be my throttle position sensor!

Check all of the above but also check your fuel pressure, if its a little low it can cause a hesitant take off. It might be fine at an idle but drop when you give it gas.
