Hey guys i had an idea and i was just wondering what you think. currently i have 2001 z24 obviously with a LD9 and getrag transmission. i was thinking about going to a junkyard and pulling an LD9 out of a car and beefing it up once winter comes back around so i have a mean built LD9. With that being said, are all the LD9's the same meaning if i get one with low miles, i can put it in using my same wiring harness and computer and all that good stuff? Yes i am a newbie but im trying to learn this engine and get to know it. Please hit me back with some answers thanks

Use the 99-02 LD9 and you will be golden.

Get a 99-02 LD9 from a J-body, or a 00-02 LD9 from anything else. 99s from other cars may or may not be the same as your engine.
