I have a 99 cavalier 2.2 2200 3spd auto::

The stock trans is geared to long. I would I like shorter gears in my 3t40? Do i change the gears or is there a diff year 3t40 trans that has shorter gears that will bolt up to my motor? Where would i get the gears from ect, ECT. I want to keep my trans not looking into swapping to manual even tho im sure most would say thats the best bet.

Suggestions tips advice greatly appreciated!!
