Setting up my 95 cavalier z24
Monday, May 06, 2013 8:42 AM
Hey guys, Im running a 95 cavalier z24 (2.3L quad 4) in a bone stock series. Im still pretty new to working on cars and just decided to dive into this project. The car is running and has done some practice laps. Its not to bad but I want to try to get as much HP out of it as I can. I know tuning can make a big difference but am not really sure what I need or where to start. Some of the tuner guides on here i see say their for newer cavaliers then mine. My engine has to remain 100% stock, the only change is in my exhaust the cat has been removed. If anyone could point me to a nice guide or has any sort of information for me that would be excellent.

Thanks for your time,
Kevin

The engine needs to remain 100% stock.....or look 100% stock?

Is this an auto or manual?

lets go with look. its a manual. I dont really want to do anything to extreme like bore out the engine. Unless I can track down a spare engine.

A tune would go a long way. Also, you could swap to a lighter smaller LG0 or W41 crank pulley. You could head over to quad4forums to track down the info on getting a new e-prom or your e-prom adjusted.

There is not much you can do untill you start getting into the motor...or just swap to a LG0 high output motor.
