hey all quick question, iv had a 2.4 cav and now a 2.2 eco, the TBs look about the same size and possition
my question is WILL a cold air/short ram air intake (like for example the AEM one for our cars) work for both? or are they specifical for a 2.4 or 2.2 eco? they apear to be the same or very close like they are interchangeable

I have the injen one with a low profile elbow on it and I realized elbow wont work for eco bc its for a 2.4 now. When looking at engine 2.4 throttle body cables are on passenger side versus eco is on the drivers, but can still make it work if I switch just the elbow, hope this helps you out.

ok well reason why i was asking is because i have a 2002 LSS eco, and my last third gen was a 2000 Z24 LD9, i was looking to order a cold air or short ram air intake for my new eco and all im finding is intakes for 2.4s not 2.2 ecos... was curious if a 2.4 CAI would work with no or very little mods

Ebay should have at least aem ones for ecotec but last time I checked was like $300 almost but if you get a 2.4 one with taller elbow should work fine, figured for the $50 I paid for my 2.4 injen one when go to the eco side I will just order a new $20 elbow and call it good until i go boosted

ok thanks everyone, ill just wait and buy an AEM typhoon or a k&n intake, was hoping a 2.4 one would work without modifying, ok ill just be patient and get the one i want
