timing off 1 tooth.

i rebuilt my engine last fall and i had cams all set and it apparently jumped 1 tooth advanced on the intake side. it sounded great. good thumpy idle. but it would load up while trying to start it and would crank for about 5 seconds before it would start. you could tell it was having a hard time. what other affects would this have if you were to leave it that way?

terrible mileage, improper fuel mixture, improper compression, decreased power, difficulty starting, probably a CEL, inability to pass smog, etc etc etc.
