Maybe over-looking something or its not there, but, does the 95 intake cam have a patch for the CPS? and does it have the hex for oil pump?

yes, the 95 intake cam is a direct drop in to any LD9, with the CPS pad and the hex insert already ready... the 1995 LD2 is a transitional engine

you need cams, 2.3 towers, and the lifters. thats about it. valve springs are a good idea, i used the 2.3 valve springs. if you are the guy that posted on my youtube then here is your response. if you want to use your 2.4 towers you will need to bore them to fit the 35mm lifters from the 2.3. I ran my car without power steering and without the CPS. Car ran fine and was daily driven, easily tuneable, and was quick. I loved it :]

btw, the 95 cam does have the cps and has the hex for *power steering. but the 95 cam is very small and basically useless.

short and simple: reading.

there are literally hundreds of threads on the subject of swapping 2.3 cams into a 2.4. the search is your friend!

lopey idle no not in the least. i get a slight lope until its up to temp and sometimes at stop lights with my LO cams.

this may also be dumb, is there any other cams from different engines that will fit in our housings with-out any machining or work like that?

i found an intake cam for a 87-94 with .350'' lift and 200 duration. would that work even with-out the CPS? if it would i could just get that cam and the exhaust one from the same engine all at the same time.

it'll work... you'll just lose sequential fuel injection. which will only affect you at idle... however your pcm may command your motor to do stupid things periodically at idle... Mine wants to rev and hold 3000 rpm at out of gear with no throttle until i reach 5 mph, below 5 mph, it will idle correctly... other times the car struggles to keep idling, especially with the AC on.

Im running those cams .340 intake lift, 212duration@50 .350 exhaust lift 212 duration@50. I ran slow slow times at the track with these cams and a crappy tune. I have since retuned the car and it is quicker than my mostly stock vert with the 2.4. It had a nice little lope at regular idle, I raised it because with the solid engine mounts there were tons of vibrations. These cams really leaned out up top with the stock tune also. Car feels really torquey now but it still isnt fast.

They are in the engine sitting in my shed waiting to go in the car and replace the setup mentioned above.
