Has anyone port matched the 2.2l ecotec intake manifold? I have one laying around and wanted to know if any gains were seen or if it was just a waste of time.

Yeah well it's cheaper than buying the 2.4l intake mani so I was just curious.

Supporting mods are cold air intake, header and header back exhaust. Still on the stock throttle body and motor is still completely stock.

I remember someone making a thread quite a while back saying it did help....but then it turned into a @!#$ storm.

If you have the extra manifold laying around, I'd say go for it. Worst case scenario, you install the stock one again. It can't hurt to try.

I have a 2.4 ported and I ported the head to match I think there's a big difference not so much in the bottom end tho, more at top ends.

I think with out porting the head its pointless, but like you said you have a extra what's there to lose?

Even on a stock head its a mod that works well when u ve tune after porting you can feel it. going from a ported stock mani to a le5 manifold i felt more of a jump stock to ported l61 mani. but le5 mani over all feels better to me. with that said it you got a extra laying around go for it.

see ya!
