My friend have a 02 sunfire 2200 sfi
At idle. The car have a black smoke and run badly, smell unburnt gas
The car have 145 xxx km on it, aem cold air intake, header, catless and magnaflow double exaust !
800 to 200 rpm the car have black smoke and smell unbunrt gas
My friend changed coil pack, spark plug cable and spark plug, tryed my 01 cavalier throttle same thing !
Any idea ?

Are you running stock or aftermarket injecters? Is the car tuned?

not to the point that you would see black smoke. that would kill a cat.
things to check:
ECT, upstream o2 sensor, fuel pressure.

I know both dxdean3's sunfires did the same thing when they catless. It was only until they warmed up though.
