Performance upgrades for 04 cavalier ls sport.

Hey everyone, new here and just thought I could get some insight on some good performance parts for my car. I have a 2004 Cavalier LS Sport, automatic. No upgrades yet. What are some good first upgrades I can do without breaking the bank?

Probley 2 of the most noted ones would be intake and exhaust, I think a lot of people would agree.
