damn man i had to dig out my pics to be for sure! LOL
#1 starts at the front of the motor, which is by the timing sprocket. THEN to get the right direction you need to set them up if you were to be reading them from the transverse front (oil filter side)
but anyways, heres a couple pics for reference...

I believe he had them made by the machinist that does most of his work.

Off the top of my head. No I don't. Sounds like you got in over your head. Get the manual and do it right.

yeah, mike had it right. had them done along with the 2.3 oil pump swap he does as well... i figured extra insurance with the gutted crank so why not.

I checked alldata.diy.com and my Haynes manual and it does not list a tightening sequence for the main caps. I will check my GM manuals later today

This is all I found...
Crankshaft Bearing Cap Bolts................................................................................15 lb ft + 90°

Usually I would start on the center main cap and then the next two then the two outers...I am not a professional engine builder but that is what I have always been told.
There is no specific sequence that needs to be followed, just have to start with the center #3 and work your way out. For the record, if anyone is using arp main studs instead of the stock bolts, they need to be torqued to 80 ft lbs. Not the stock specs

Digging up another old thread, but is that correct?
80ft/lbs seems like a lot compared to the factory of 15 ft/lbs +90*

Nice pics Brad.
I checked alldatapro.com
15 ft. lbs + 90 degree turn. I'd torque them all to 15 then go back and turn all 90 degrees. Hope it spins over good for you.
I'd check your bearing clearances before you just go with it.
The block and caps will be line honed with the studs installed to make sure all is well.
