Hello. Running a pre-1998 cavalier on circle track. The motor in the car currently is .030 over on the pistons. I was interested in building a back up motor with close to the same performance. How much difference would there be in compression between the 30 over and the 2200 pistons?
the difference would be very small...
30 over or ( .030 over) is what it actually is.
any time Stroke volume increases more than the chamber volume, you'll be raising the compression ratio
Engine compression calc
.
Well it's great that there is not much difference! Are these drop in replacements also?
are what drop in replacements?
the information I have given is on general engine knowledge...
As far as specific engine knowledge, I dont know Jack about the non-ecotec engines.
Sorry
Do i have to bore anything or use the 1.6 rods? What is required?
