Ok so I have been doing alot of research on here about the best exhaust to use and have come up with this for now.
The piping is going to be 2.25 from the cat back with a 9" glasspack with a dynomax 17731 muffler finished off with a resonated tip.
I was quoted $300 for the whole thing welded and put in. Just wanted to know if you guys thought it was a good price for what i was getting.
Thanks
I'd think so, $300 is cheaper than most cat-backs available for our cars, but you could probably find a cheaper place to get it done. I went to a family owned shop and got a setup almost identical to yours above for about $150-175.
Yea the problem around here is that this is the only custom exhaust shop for about 50 miles so by the time i figure in gas and having to hang around all day i think it would probly be worth it
ill sell you my 2.5" DP back w/ 28" resonator, all mandrel bent stainless, with dynomax super turbo muffler, with a resonated tip. better flow, amazing sound... little more than what they quoted you...however it is stainless and will last a LONG time. but you are only one state over. So its up to you.
I was looking for $350 plus shipping, and for that price you wont be spending a whole lot more for a better exhaust.

Now i really have a decision to make because I don't think they use mandrel bends just crush bends. Also where do you live. hmmmm decisions decisions.
id spend the extra 50 bucks.. wish i could get a deal like that lol
Drive down, install, drive home
I just mapped it out and it looks like u r a lil over four hours away. As much as I would love to get it and talk u into a ride in your car I just can't justify the drive. It sucks. If you lived closer I would be all over it.
4 hours is not bad to snag an exhaust for cheap. easily a one day trip!
Yeah but right now is my works busy time I work six days a week 10-12 hours a day. And when I do get a day off I like to spend it with the wife and kids. But I dunno I will still think about it. Just curious how much would shipping be 47933.
Cheapest.... $160. cheaper to drive it if you could make the trip.
If you have plans for more performance mods the mandrel bent exhaust is the way to go. And an extra 50 bucks isnt bad for a good exhaust.....however you then will have to consider welding
GMR has got nothing on this
wont be a whole lot to weld, if he can get the header to line up with the 3 bolt flange... will all bolt right up. shouldnt need very much welding at all.
Are you still in the Quad Cities area, Vince?
