Which engine is it? The 2200 is a OHV and the eco is the DOHC.
its an old concept. time for something new to take the reigns. - Z yaaaa
most local race shops could hook you up with a good professional polish job. Most of the time the price isnt to bad either. OEM offers the service as well.
Don't try to just polish it with a brillo pad
POLISH the bitch. Compounds bro.
hell harbor freight sells polishing kits with a few wheels and cotton mandrel, also the 3 different polishing compunds for about $17. Thats if you have the time for it
.
ok i tried looking but laptop died anyways what compound should i use with it
heres an older pic of the valve cover on the cavy.
The most interesting method I've seen was actually done to the plenum of a TPI 5.7: He gave it a shot of paint, then D/A-sanded it to get the paint off the fins. He progressively used finer grits of paper until he had a satin-like finish. The same could done to the 2.2L's rocker-cover.
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
