I was just wondering what everyone is using as far as aftermarket cats. I have a universal one now but i need a new one so im just getting suggestions. My car is a 2001 Z24 im running 2.5 exhaust header back. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

yeah not sure yeat what i want to do.. I don't think i can run without a cat, if i do i dont believe my car would pass emissions.
it won't. just buy a universal magnaflow if you have to pass emissions testing.
i have gutted oem cat on my 98 and magnaflow on my 05, both work great.
Don't gut cats the large chamber in the exhaust pipe messes up flow.

my 2200 picks up better than it did before my stock cat got clogged up now i gutted it and i got a check engine light deleted it with my code scanner and no problems with it running or having flow issues, i dont ahve like a magic flow meter but i can tell ya its a bit louder than it was before
oh forgot to mention i live in a city with no db laws or emmsions too lol

then just get rid of it, don't waste the time gutting it.
the 20 minutes it took to take it off gut and clean it out then reinstall it compared to the 12 hours of work to earn the money for a test pipe or to have a piece welded up and a bong for the 02 sensor put in. when this one bolts right back up perfect with no leaks etc. im good. and i like having my exhaust i dotn want ti sounding like a damn tractor wich is what they sound like with no exhaust
