Good luck getting RK Sport to service replace those bushings, new mount for RK Sport will be your only option. RK Sport has very bad vibrations.

When is the last time RK Sport was active and supportive of this forum?

With the sale price on the TTR mounts now, it is hands down the best value for the $.

Not really. I have RK upper and lower mounts and TTR trans mounts and the vibs are not bad at all. Sorry Aaron, i like the design of the RK mount better. It just seems alot sturdier without that poly in it.

HUH??? Rk Sport has poly in it, a VERY small poly bushing, which causes the motor vibs to transfer right to the frame... We change out local RK Sport mounts all the time here, and the vibs go away so much with a TTR Mount. That is why the TTR mount was developed 5 years ago was because the RK Sport mount was known for horrible vibs.

I guess members forget the past and when there was only 1 option how most did not like it. Just speaking of facts, that is all.

Exactly, 2 small poly bushings > one large poly bushing. IMO. And my vibs are very tolerable. I have never really noticed them that much, but i have had friends notice them on the 1st ride. Im not intending to offend you, but with you replying to this topic(and you have the right to, it's about your product) it is tricky to try to keep this civil.

Yes the only item we are pointing out is that back in the 2003-05 era before we designed this mount, everyone hatted/complained the vibs from the RK Sport upper mount. Then we came out with this mount with barely any vibs. Both brands have basically no movement once installed. Just saying that over time members are forgeting what the past was really like. Most likely because most were not members back in that era, as they never owned a J-body at that time

We just took it to the next level and offered a product to meet the needs of consumers.

Other than less vibs, we offer the powder coated to pretty much any color, and an option of 3 bushing colors, which offers a customized look for each member. This is something that was never offered and still is not offered by most places.

I like my RK mount...although i will admit the finish is very crappy. The vibes are not that bad at all. I have full poly mounts with my RK and other then at take off its not much diff then stock.

Go with the RK mount..Great mount finish is not always great..Ran mine for 4 years no issues,And had the lower mount in also...And prothan tranny mounts..Vibs were noticable for a week or so but you get used to it after some time...

i have the lower in right now, works great. i'll have the upper in soon. wish i could tell you firsthand but can't. like i said most people simply say go with the rk. but i've only heard of maybe 2 horror stories with the ttr mount, and they were powdercoating issues. not actual failed mounts.

i will say i personally love my TTR upper and lower mounts on my 03...ive had them for over a year and a half with ZERO issues. my vibrations i get are noticeable but again what do you expect with a cam'd no balance shafts and upper and lower mounts lol.... i still have the stock tranny mount in there for now but once i pull the tranny and rebuild it i got a TTR auto tranny mount to go in as well so that should help some

RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...

I HAD the TTR mount in my cav for a while and went back to RKS. As far as RKSport never servicing theirs.... I've never ever heard of a RKS mount needing to be serviced, it's just the TTR's that develop play and eat bushings. I personally know/knew 4-5 people used the TTR upper and all of them issues of some sort, powder coating, the mount being loose, or the bushing spinning and getting torn up.

IMO you buy the TTR if you want something to look nice and match your pretty engine bay, you buy the RKS if you want function over form.

I guess when there have been over 500 sold of these, that you will always have a few members issues here and there. We have had issues in the past, so has RK Sport (broken welds and paint also falling off)

As we have addressed already, powder coating and bushing material, have all been revised since you had yours way back when they first came out. We should actually call these mounts VERSION 2 as they are "bug free" from the ones you are comparing them to.

Any recent member to purchase in the last year or better will all have the newest version, and as those members speak, they will express trouble free to our knowlegde.
