i currently have a 2.2l echotech cavalier i am looking for some bolt on parts for my car its a uto so im not trying to get allcrazy any and all help will be apricitated hell a buil dlist would help too
A great place to start is an intake. Either
short ram or
cold air. If you aren't wanting to spend that much money, you can always look through the
Classifieds on here to see if anyone is selling an intake for the 2002 - 2005
ECOTEC Cavalier or Sunfire.
Since you have an auto, another cheap and easy mod would be the
B&M Shift Plus electronic shift improver. This will make the shifting feel a bit more sporty and is supposed to help reduce wear and tear on your transmission.
Here's a writeup on how to install it.
For a totally free and easy mod that won't really do much except remove a few pounds of useless weight and possibly make your engine a tad bit louder, you can
remove the air intake resonator. This will have to be done anyway if you decide to install a cold air intake as the filter on the intake will need space in the wheel well that is currently taking up by the air intake resonator.

Performance FAQ at the top of the Performance Forum.
Cosmo intake, Pacesetter header and pacesetter exhaust. About the cheapest list of power bolt ons you can buy, except maybe the most basic OEM (overkill engineering motorsports, not your stock exhaust, please) exhaust and a cheap muffler. eBay strut bars and Eibach springs will take care of suspension nicely for around $300 or so without spending too much. As J to Envy said, the B&M shiftplus is a great mod for very little money. All in all, a $1000 investment can make your car a lot better performance wise.
I forgot to mention in that list about brakes. A simple investment of high performance brake pads and steel braided lines would offset a budget build like the one described nicely.
