I am determined to do a motor swap on my new convertible, seems like if I go eco or 3800 having a donor car is the best way to go. Do you recommend buying a car from a salvage broker, junkyard, or waiting to find one on craigslist? I appreciate your input or first hand experiences.

Just do as I did, post up what u want on Craigslist, what ur looking for as far as engine etc, and the most ur willing to pay, and leave contact info. You will be surprised how many pol will contact u. I did that for abt a week, had a ton of calls and found a donor/parts cavi for 100.00 so, goodluck!!
