just took out my ac compressor cuz it siezed up and mesured with the broken belt an then i got this belt and ran it like stock pulls a little harder heres some pics the gain is small like half 1 hp but you do loose about 10 pounds as well

i used to run the 345k5 belt for stock setup but i run an AEM alternator pulley and so i needed a larger belt, i now use a 365k5

nah its not a joke i was gonna runn it that way but i was worried about it slipping off i got the belt from my local parts plus any parts store that sells gates belts can order it

my bekt us ran differently then that its ran like the stock setup with the compressor

i wasnt meaning a joke to you illdeca i was referring to brad cuz he is a person that frequents here quite often and i just assumed the 345k5 belt was common knowledge now. no big deal i just found it odd that you didnt know brad, no biggie

lol im afraid my knowledge on the subject on goes as far as paul's car. and he's only used a 4 rib. the 95z i bought from chris taetsche also only has a 4 rib so...

i have never looked into it for myself is all.

then how exactly are you getting it to tension the belt? as the spring pushes the other way...

the spring pushes more in an upward position then straight that way, the belt is small enough that it fits snug into place you have to unbolt the tensioner pulley some to get it into place but ive had no issues for 200 miles now... the stock belt runs just like that with the ac compressor in place all i know is its working for me haha

Grrr i cant get my 345k belt on and its pissing me off lol!!!

Good quesiton, I am going to take this 345 Duralast belt back to autozone, and get the GATES belt from Orielly's like the OP has. I just noticed this Duralast belt is only 34.5 inches or a tiny bit shorter. I see this Gates betl 35- 1/4.

i should look at what rib i am running, but for a solid 3 months i have just been running a shorter belt with my ac delete haven't had any squeaking yet

I did and AC delete on a GA and had to use a 35.5" belt.

Ahh finally got the belt on. For future references I got the Gates belt that the OP has. Got it from Orielly's, the duralast ones from autozone will not fit.

I had to special order several when I went back to the stock pulley for the alternator.

That's how I've got mine setup for the 2.4 LD9. Thanks to quad4forums.com for the photo used above for depiction and helping me out with the idea.

Congrats Illdeca, nice setup.
Keep an eye on the belt for tension but the belt you're using pretty much does not stretch.
