ok i can buy a good lite used 255 off a buddys mustang its a inline walbro 255 my ? is could i take the pump in the tank out run a sone from the top of were the pump hooks up to the bottom were the pic up is and then use stock fuel pump power wires on the pump and will my gas gauge still work

someone correct me here, but i you leave the float intact, your gauge will still work, you should be able to install an inline fuel pump and have it pull through the stock pump...
