ok where to start??? Well basically I have 95 cavalier with a knocking 2.2..... My original plans were swapping for an ecotech but after research that swap didnt seem worth my time or effort. So then i was thinking 3800 but alls i have available to me is a 3800 series 1 witch doesnt seem worth my while either... So a SB350 comes to mind, big v8 carbed and alot more options power wise. I know from my fiero background that the tranny will bolt up and obviously alot of fabbing but i would also bypass all the wiring issues... would it fit? will it work in a FWD format? any info would help. and pls dont treat me like a moron it literally just popped in my head so im seein what you guys think. Let me know guys

the closet thing i can think of that might work would be the 5.3 out of the impala SS. Its a W bodied car just like the Grand Prix with the Supercharged V6. So i would guess the lay out would be similiar. i would do Supercharged V6 swap its been done on here a number of times even thought it hard to do at least there info about it.
i just finished my 454 swap i wend 6 wheel drive it was the easiest since my flux capacitor is mounted vertical
research the "LD9" or "Quad 4" ... a motor in that family is a much better option than a ecotec (no h) in a 1995 (since you won't have to rewire the entire car)
An ecotec swap would be easier than a 350 swap.
Not to mention i only have ~220whp and wheel spin makes 1st gear useless.

Also if its a LS1 you really only have a 346.
Azenis were useless at 75% throttle when I was turbo. They would just come loose. Even in second gear I would have issues with traction. Tires are a major compromise between straight line traction and cornering grip. I like the corners better than just going straight.
okay who in ther right mind thinks the 427 outperforms the 350 or 383 look chevy is known for bumpin horsepower out of the 350 and 383 and there a lot cheeper to work with than the 427 i say go for it dude im thinkin of doin the same let me know how it comes out
why does everyone go for the 350??? Well because its probably one of the most versital engine available. and making it a 383 is almost overnight lol. Im just bouncin things off u guys. If this swap does get done it will be a while I gotta do my research find my parts and actually do it.

screw the fwd. if you are doing a small block, gut the interior throw in a turbo 350, rwd axle, convert the front suspension. then you have a kick a cavy
build a 5.3 out of the impala SS and drop a 8-71 on that big boy, show those haters how you roll!

Why should I or anyone else who has the curiousity be banned for asking a question?? Damn near all responses I have gotten from this site is negative.... What have you guys built? Dont sit on ur asses and rag on me I was asking a question, and btw didnt get an answer to too many of them because yall are too busy raggin bout this v8 cavalier bull@!#$. I have built a couple v8 fieros and the engine bay is actually smaller then the cavaliers. Im not someone who likes to buy fast @!#$, I like pullin up somewhere and watching the reaction of people and saying "yep i built that" I have had camaros, firebirds, mustangs, awd dsms.... But guess what so has a million other people. How many people can say they have a 12 sec cavalier with a 3800 or a SBC shoved in a econobox of a cavalier. I like building @!#$. I like making @!#$ fast. The point of this thread was not to get ragged on by you guys it was asking for resources.. Will it fit? you asked for opinions. you got them and they werent the ones you wanted and you cried. no one can really help you cause nobody on this site has done such a swap. has it been done? yeah it has. there is a 2002 cav with a 454 in it i think. might a 572, i forget. search for V8 cavalier and you will get pics of it. and thats all you will get unless you track down who did the swap and ask him whats up. so in closing id like to say

If you know how to build a V8 fiero then why the @!#$ would you ask us about it? I have seen one V8 RWD Cav at a track and it was nothing more than a Cav shell dropped on a tube chassis. Sorry, but you asked a stupid question for around here. If you had searched you would have know what you were getting into before you even clicked the post button.
