2.4 to 2.3 HO Intake

I was wondering if anyone has a spare flange laying around like the ones Chris Fontana made a couple years ago or know if anyone else is making / selling them?

If your talking about the phenolic spacer, OEM makes one.

PM me a price on that SpeedRacerZ if you want to get rid of it. Yeah it's the adapter or spacer that adaptes the Oval shaped intake to the M shaped head on the 2.4.

I would get the one from the classified but I already have the HO intake.

OEM makes one... but you will need to port out the holes

Brad: ^^^ This

and you will have to port the holes out on it... i have one, i ended up just using it to redrill the holes on the fontana spacer

I would talk to OEM about that flange (maybe he'll chime in here), because on the website, it says "when using a 2.3 Head on a 2.4 Block." The outer manifold bolt holes aren't symmetric, so you'd have to make modifications to the flange to make it work for the 2.4L head and 2.3L manifold (I did it reversed with a Fontana Flange before when Chris wanted to try an MP45 on a 2.3L head).

^^^ i emailed about him, he said it was a typo, and using a 2.4 head with 2.3 manifold...

its B shaped, like the 2.4 head.... personally i like the fontana one better because it transitions, where this one does not... the fontana one is also 1 cm thick while this is about 4 - 5 mm thick... or less

but if you port the holes out to match the head, it will do the job...

Cool. It's been a long time since I've seen a 2.4L head or manifold. The picture had me confused at first, but I can clearly see now it's upside-down.

I got the OEM spacer for my HO manifold and as far as I know they had no problems installing it. I think they just had to slot the holes a little different on the manifold to get it to sit right on the spacer.

OEM's phenolic spacers are really thin. I bought one from the classifieds for the 2.4 and modded it to adapt to my 2.3 manifold. not much to work with. the fontana was over twice as thick and had a much better transition. Still happy they offer stuff like this for us but really wish they offered a thicker version.

oem 2.4 to 2.4 on top... fontana 2.4 to 2.3 on bottom

your fontana looks like the orig version which had much smaller ports ...

my fontana had bigger ports than the oem 2.3 <=> 2.4 spacer
