thanks for the help guys , dont leave me hangin
There used to be a How-To on NY-jbodies.org, but I guess the site is no more.
If I had to venture a guess, I would say those won't fit, since IIRC, there were issues with full roller rockers fitting under the valve cover (as opposed to roller tip rockers). You also need the rocker arm studs from a 2.8.
if you do the 1.6 roller rocker conversion you will also have to change the head studs

hey thanks guys for all the help!
I have never heard of replacing head studs when doing this upgrade.
You will need 1.6 roller rockers with the following specs:
-self aligning
-1.6
- roller tip
-slim body
-fit 3/8" stud
Then you will need rocker studs.
ARP make some that will bolt right up to our head.
They are M8x1.25 X 3/8
You will also need the matching poly lock that go with the studs.
^^The op has an older 2.2 so he doesnt need self aligning rockers. Just needs to grind a lil bit off the guide plates that are there. I sent him a pm about the setup I have to see if hes interested in it.
