Jus wondering i kno there is crazy combunations out there for performance im jus trying to figure out how to get sum power out of the motor so i could go spray
Why would you want 2 engines on top of each other?
i find it amusing that SHOoff has nothing better to do but follow me around & be an unhelpful dick in even cross-forum. - Jon Mick

please be more descriptive.... the answer is no.. you cannot bolt a 2.4 engine on top of a 2.2 engine and expect it to work... or expect to be able to see anything but the 2.4 motor out of your windshield as it sits on the 2.2

thats not true. you just need some piece in between the two to be able to bolt them together. i suggest a 2x4.
Or u can use 1x1 and build your uwn custum mounts. Also don't forget to cut a hole in your hood for clearance issues.
Sorry jeje if a 2.4 head would fit on a 2.2 idk cause i dont want to go crazy with a swap i was thinking of rebuilding the motor get some air flow going ( intake, header, exhaust ect ) so i could spray a bit for sum fun at the da strip by my house
which 2.4 motor and which 2.2 motor
there are several of each
ok... so the 2.4 (LD9) ... which 2.2 motor... the OHV, the Ecotec... actually it really doesn't matter... the 2.4 (LD9) head will not mate to either the 2.2 ecotec nor the 2.2 OHV
the 2.4 (LD9) head only can possibly mate to other quad 4 family engines...

so wat suggestions can u give me a lil more power out of 97 2.2
talk to OHV Notec ... he's the resident 2.2 OHV guru... i'd say build it and boost it
where could i get a hold of him
he's pretty active on here... he should see this thread...
if not... make a new thread stating you have a 97 2.2 OHV and you want to get more performance out of it... it would be best to state exactly what all you have done to the motor and where exactly you want to go (like mild performance, extreme performance, track only, streetable, turbo, nitrous, n/a, etc...)
just make sure you put "2.2 ohv" in the title

Wow, apparently I'm easy to read? Lol.
I already replied in his new thread, so let's let this ridiculous thread die.
