Maybe you forgot to install this part?

If you want a whistle, get an airraid throttle body spacer or stick a whistle in your intake.

You will only get a whistle if you are pulling a decent amount of air through (more horsepower than stock)

Maybe try a smaller intake? What size it the pipe?

Not sure But on my Sentra SE-R Spec V I got the Nismo Cold air intake and a throttle body spacer and it has the whistle as well. not sure but maybe the Spacer could make it pull enough air to make it whistle

When I put on my HO intake manifold and bored out throttlebody mine whistled. but not usually from an air intake on our cars.

I had mine whistle once, it was because the intake had loose screws on the fastener.
I had work done, and the repair shop forgot to tighten all the screws.
When I tightened the screws, it went away.
The air was getting sucked through the turbo hose connector.

I just had a 3 point fuel system service, and it is whistling again.
I thought, ok, they forgot to tighten the screws when spraying out the tb and air plenum, wrong...
I can't figure out why the car sounds like a turbo. I looked everywhere and checked the TB bolts and so on.
I can't find any vaccuum lines with splits or nothing.

I have a cold air intake and a throttle body spacer and mine whistles when the motor goes over 3500 rpms.

The more airflow the more/louder I think it will whistles.

Try getting a throttle body spacer and if that doesn't work and you don't mind spend a little bit of money and you have the 2.2 eco, swap to the 2.4 intake manifold and get bigger injectors and a tune. That should make it whistle and give you another 25-30hp in the process.

Whistle? I have been noticing a small whistle at low rpm while accelerating. And I have just a filter to the TB, no piping. i always thought it was because there was a slight leak and air was squeezing in from a place other then the filter.

Is the whistle really from having decent hp?

that whistle gives you 50 extra hp

I hope this is a joke.

just create leak somewhere... you might get a whistle

if not... exhaust whistler ftw.

or put a whistle in your grill... once your up to speed the wind should make it whistle... and the faster you go, the louder it gets.... Saaaaawwwweeeeeeeeeeeeetttttttt

Mines whistles...But i think that has something to do with the supercharger....

Mine whistles as well...but that's because the air intake fell off the turbo...

unless he was referring to the 2.4 eco mani, as clearly the 2.4 quad mani will not work... .... either way the 25-30 hp is exagerated...

I was referring to the 2.4 eco manifold. If you swap to that manifold, get a bored-out throttle body, and a good tune. Why do you think that 25-30hp gain is out of the picture? The manifold and tune adjustment for a/f had increases of ~10 whp and a bored-out throttle body should add another ~1-2whp. A good tune adjusting for higher octane gas, adjusting a/f, and adding some timing would yield a nice increase on top of the increase from the manifold. So after all that your looking at at least 20whp. When I gave that number, I meant horsepower at the crank which would easily possible.

It's the characteristics of the motor. Your comparing an eclipse that when floored, gives you a deep deep growl. Same with honda and most imports. I've never heard a whistle from these eco's or 2200..whatever you gots!

You bought an intake.. So you would get a whistle? Wow.... If you really want a whistle, either...

A. Get a turbo/supercharger
B. Buy a Chrysler V6 vehicle. Most of their V6 get a good whistle going on stock from the PS Pump

I actually remember a small whistle on my ol' z24 with the AEM shortram.

My Eco's AEM true CAI is much more angry. It just growls at the road all day.

I wonder how loud that would actually be, because Im tempted to go put like 20 whistles under my friends car to see what will happen... should get some pretty good laughs out of it if it works, but I don't want to go wast $20 on whistles at the dollar store if it won't work...
